On Saturday night, October 25, 2008, the Hoyas faced off against the University of Virginia Cavaliers at the Kettler Capitals Iceplex. This was the Hoyas' second league game (ACCHL) of the season. Georgetown answered the call and earned an impressive 6-2 victory. The Hoyas were led by two fabulous freshman--Alex Yale-Loehr (Ithaca, NY) and John Ryder (Cleveland, OH), each of whom had 2 goals and 1 assist. Alex scored his first goal in the first three minutes of the second period, assisted by Hugh Manahan (Sr-Skillman, NJ). Alex scored his second goal with ten minutes remaining in the third period, unassisted. John Ryder scored his first goal with seven minutes remaining in the second period, assisted by Hugh Manahan and Gus Thompson (Soph-New Canaan, CT). John scored his second goal with 13 minutes remaining in the third period, assisted by Alex Yale-Loehr. The other two goals for the Hoyas were scored by Hugh Manahan (assisted by John Ryder), and by Louis Aronne (Jr-Greenwich, CT), assisted by Charlie Beller (Soph-Chappaqua, NY) and Lukas Autenried (Freshman-Wallisellen, Switzerland).
