Game 3: Hoyas Lose to Stevenson 4-1

The Hoyas started the 3-game weekend at The St. James sports complex against the Mustangs of Stevenson University.  The Mustangs scored the first two goals of the game, but Georgetown closed the gap to 2-1 at the 7:05 mark in the second period on a goal by sophomore Daniel Sippel, assisted by freshman Teddy Dyer.

It remained a tight one-goal game until late in the second period when the Hoyas committed the first of five consecutive minor penalties.  With the Hoyas on the defensive, Stephenson took advantage of the situation.  The Mustangs scored with 2:12 remaining in the second period and 5:38 in the third period to ice the victory 4-1. Stevenson outshot the Hoyas 33 to 27 for the game.
